Artist. The first woman to name the moon "Peter". Awful sense of humor. Period.
You have to break a few eggs to watch it all end badly

or something, I don't know. I'm just really happy I actually finished a collage.

See?! This orientation would also collage really well with a face...a half face from my extensive collection of various cutouts of human features and parts.

But obviously it also looks like a 🌋

I've been painting papers for collage for over a month now. Yesterday I finished a b&w odd square cut with some vibrant color and I love it so much!

I especially love how it looks cool no matter which way it's oriented. May have to mount and finish this one as is.

How many times have you taken a picture of the ground because some stain looked interesting to your art brain and how many of those pics have your foot in them?

You can scribble during the day too.

All those free old books on the library cart need your pens and pencils and sticks and paints and scratches and tapes and drops and dents and stickers and time and fear and love and pain so that they can have one last chance at offering humans a critical chance at satisfying curiosity.

Hands. All hands all day. Not currently strong enough to throw. Please hand by.

Shuffling through a few stacks of books to donate and finding lots of my collages that I'd forgotten about. These are small, 2X2in each.

The last layer of lines offers my favorite moment in any color/filter change. This right here is everything, much needed respite from a world of hurt. A good reminder to make art for yourself first and always.

Continuing the experiment and paying attention to variations along the way

Another step in the experiment here. It’s a mess and I had little control over the color but about halfway through the lines and shapes started drawing themselves, I didn’t think at all. I’ve been missing that feeling for months now.

The experiment got me here. A few weeks of absolute nonsense over and over again while I figured out what I wanted from the process finally gave me a result that looks like I need it to.

I've been playing with coloring over patterns then glitching the layers repeatedly until it takes on a life of its own.

This started as a close up of my hardwood floor. There is a lot wrong but something very right too. This pic is a marker for significant growth during an exploratory project.

Made this back in November, found it while trying to find a different collage I made around the same time. If I just let myself process without overthinking I can get a lot of frustration or feelings out in a healthy way. A good reminder to self now.

Getting my left hand back slowly but surely! Can bang out a whole Night Scribble now. Fish making an appearance courtesy of some #Radiohead.

What do you listen to while you work?
