To Glenalla, Ayrshire for early BBS survey this morning.
1st time we got cuckoos on the early visit. Plus a Tree Pipit displaying nicely (a 1st I think). Grasshopper Warblers also back in their usual sector.
Turn up volume for some cuckoo action...

To Glenalla, Ayrshire for early BBS survey this morning.
1st time we got cuckoos on the early visit. Plus a Tree Pipit displaying nicely (a 1st I think). Grasshopper Warblers also back in their usual sector.

Goose update for you (23/3):
There have been c300 PFG laying over in field at Dundonald Road, Loans, S Ayrshire (NS 34644 31192) this week. Approx 200 still there this morning.
Also spotted 1 sole Greylag on the River Irvine (Irvine, N Ayrshire) this morning (NS 31179 38402).

There have been c300 PFG laying over in field at Dundonald Road, Loans, S Ayrshire (NS 34644 31192) this week. Approx 200 still there this morning.
