Mostly finches, but highlight was a (F) Sparrowhawk and several Jays (not normally seen there). As there's not much singing going on just now, you need to concentrate on visual and call IDs. No migrating geese or departing Swallows overhead our square but we've seen them passing elsewhere this week.

I'd just highlight these Winter variations to fellow recorders:
..no detection type required;
..take a note of ambient temperature and ground conditions;
..no record of mammal field signs required (only record what mammals you saw).

Same location this afternoon. Still a remnant of 29 PFG in the field presumably waiting on this stiff NE wind abating.

If it's of any use to you, there were still about 100 PFG in the same location this morning (Loans, 27/3). Watched them landing in 3 skeins from their roosting site to the E.
