Our old electric stove had two settings: barely warm or hotter than the sun. No middle ground. It was such a pain in the ass to cook on. Also one of the burners didn’t work and another would turn on if you turned the oven on for more than 10 minutes so it wasn’t a great appliance overall.

Indeed! I’ll extend that to include the cooking appliances as well. Our new induction range was delivered and installed yesterday and it’s a night and day difference! Well worth the money we spent on going induction. Temperature control on this thing is incredible!

One day I’ll finish act 1! It’s a good game but I keep getting tripped up by some of the rules changes and then get frustrated. I should just knock the game difficulty down to story mode and power through.

Interesting. Unfortunately work locks down everything so I can’t change the settings. I’ve watch the laptop completely power itself off then start up with no action from me. Ah well, all this means is I spend the first few minutes of my day twiddling my thumbs waiting for my laptop.

No updates preceding. It just doesn’t ever shut down. I don’t care if it’s in my bag still running. It’s a work machine ands a piece of trash.

It’s just maddening that it doesn’t actually shut down. Near as I can tell the shutdown command just tells my laptop to reboot.

My work laptop doesn’t shut down. I’ll go through the shutdown routine then throw it in my bag and go home. By the time I start work in the morning the battery is at 1% because it booted up at some point overnight and then just stayed at the login screen without even going into sleep mode.

I’m a terrible musician so I never felt like I deserved a “premium” instrument. But everything sucks and we’re all gonna die in a horrible climate-induced inferno so might as well enjoy what time is left. Gonna make so much terrible music on this thing and grin like a madman the entire time.
