I'm also kinda ok with Bluesky staying how it is. I don't need it to "compete" with Twitter or whatever. Like, this platform has generally decent people and isn't full of garbage. As long as devs can pay the bills does it really "need" to grow?

While it's not the same, any chance you can just have it playing in the background while you do stuff? I often do that because my young child is an agent of absolute chaos and has kept it nearly impossible to actually sit and watch it in previous years.

I hate the world right now because instead of interpreting this as "a snow storm is gonna hit the south who is not used to it and needs to prepare" I sat here for a full minute trying to figure out what horrible political thing is about to happen that they need to prepare for.

I was actually very surprised that my spineless Republican representative is a cosponsor of "H.R.7008 - Stop Insider Trading Act" but I noticed the cosponsors on it are almost entirely Republican so it's probably evil in some way.

I work in IT and noticed a lot of mid-level/senior jobs being posted right now fall into 3 categories:
- AI startups (often healthcare!)
- "We invested in AI but have no idea why so figure out how to use it to make our business run better"
- Government contractor work in the defense/military sector

When good things happen I am always waiting for something to ruin it. I can't enjoy things because I am braced for the "consequences" of something making me happy
