Nothing profound to write – just try to point out reality. Hate Brexit – no time for its proponents. Blighted by OCD. Prone to sarcasm. If occasional profanity offends, you're in the wrong place.

I cannot bear to listen to that waste of space Semi Badenough, so I didn't listen to her inane rambling.
I'm none the wiser as to the value of that speech, after reading these two posts. 🤔
Two synopses of the same speech by Semi Badenough at the 2025 Conservative party conference.

Oh, come on… they're only just getting started. Wait for the finale.

As usual on the @lbc.co.uk programme with @nickferrarilbc.bsky.social, I was intrigued by his 'nurse' contiributor from Swindon who claimed that she voted for the Conservatives last year, because the last Labour gov't under Blair was such a disaster. According to growth in GDP per capita… not so: ⬇️

It's ludicrous that such a step is even necessary.
The next step should be to encourage producers to reduce background music volume, so that dialogue isn't drowned out.

Good morning, very early this morning, my insomnia is playing up a bit.

Thread:

My thoughts for this day, I read over the news this morning about racism, racism in sports again, racism on the streets and then racism at the top of ex-governments, Jenrick's 'white faces' comment is beyond sick!.

I have also wondered about Lisa Nandy's effectiveness, likening her to a paper stab vest. If she needs to be guided, perhaps the CMS Commons Select Committee/Chair Dame Caroline Dinenage could give Nandy the necessary steer. 🤷‍♂️

This is likely, just another iteration of Buckland changing opinion, like a flag moving as the wind alters direction. Would that one could rely on this being the ultimate position of his opinion.

Reminder, there is no "90/180 day problem".

Its just a small group of non-citizens who want the rights of citizens without having to go through pesky immigration, paying taxes, visas, residency, and naturalisation

Case closed.

Absolutely correct… of which Jenrick was guilty in that now infamous clip from some months ago of Handsworth. I think his word word was "ghettoised" [sic]. Yet Handsworth is quite multicultural and I suspect not a community of ghettos as he implied. Data also illustrates skin colour ≠nationality.

Tbf, given the constant coverage of Trump and his regime and Fauxrage by @news.sky.com and other channels, I don't think that UK audiences are currently shielded from any "Trumpian views".

Anybody know what number '50% tariff on British steel' comes in at on Gully's little list of benefits? 🤪

Aside from the substantive content of this article, I can't believe the inference I've detected of the report being written as if Labour was instrumental in the UK being disadvantaged by outside the EU, while it (Telegraph) was one of cheerleaders.

As tweeted so many times before, UK now an outsider to EU & every other country in the world...as more turn inwards & more protective ..
EU etc can afford to do without UK goods; but UK cannot even afford to reciprocate its TCA border, never mind start any trade wars.

Yeah, but… who's operating the dummy holding the wig?

Looking at the data, Handsworth appears to be the epitome of multi-culturalism.
If racists don't like being labelled as such, the solution is simple: stop being so bigoted.
Also, I wonder how the residents of Handsworth appreciate Jenrick implying their community is like a ghetto… "ghettoised" [sic]

Erm… if the racist Jenrick is getting his arse in his hands about not seeing 'another white face' in Handsworth in Birmingham, that is hardly a case of non-caucasian ethnicities, *not integrating*… that must be IC1 people who are not integrating. Or am I missing something there?

Owing to the wars of the previous 150 years, European countries bound together in a *union* so they would never fight again.

We do this, among other ways, by have common tariffs and standards at the border, but none within; by having a common visa waiver, but FOM within; and a single currency
