Had a fantastic night seeing Michael William's A Salute To Michael Williams. He had the audience roaring with laughter, with a cleverly curated Best Of show and a couple of special guests, Ct Nicholas J Johnson and The Béchamel Fairy. Mmmm béchamel sauce

Happy Dr Who Day, I can't believe it's been ten years since the Sydney Dr Who convention and meeting Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi. So adorable.

Am so excited to learn that @sammyjcomedian.bsky.social is bringing back Hero Complex, one of the greatest comedy festival shows I've seen. I've seen it at least 3 times and will see it again. When you see it you will know why THINGS ARE HOTTING UP! On Tour around Australia linktr.ee/sammyjcomedian

Kerry Greenwood's final Phryne Fisher novel, Murder in The Cathedral, has now been publshed. Have followed these since the first one. Kerry was a dear friend and it will be sad to say goodbye to Phryne too. At least there is a Corinna Chapman mystery still to come.

Comedian Curly Courtney won the Comedy New Work Award and I was so happy that Grouse Bar won Best Venue, because I adored hanging out there, even though it's in Smith St. Saw a lot of great shows there like Alf Alpha and Ethel Chop & Tina Del Twist together.

The star of the film for me, though is Picasso the cat hauled around by eccentric aspiring artist Aunt Renie (Mildred Natwick) and mostly trying to escape her grip.

Guess where I was tonight? Got a bit jumpscared when I saw this poster on the stairs, taking me back to the last time I was here, in April, to see Rhys Darby along side their regular Improv group Something Good Improv.

The rest of the line up @locallaughs.bsky.social was pretty damn good too. It's been too long since we saw Jack Druce, someone, who's always made me laugh and really took advantage of the hyped audience tonight.

All I can say is wow. It was so good seeing Randy again. The last time we saw him was in Edinburgh last year, we thought we'd miss him @locallaughs.bsky.social this week, then our holiday got cancelled 🙁 & to make up for it we got to see Randy being hilarious & amazing 😍🤣🤩💜 Thank you comedy gods.

Chris Demos is gay, Greek and all new to me but was utterly hilarious. He is part of a show with Carmelo Costa at Melbourne Fringe called Those Gay Guys, on at Melbourne's gorgeous gay friendly cabaret/comedy club on Smith St, Grouse.

Fantastic seeing Oliver Hunter effortlessly have the audience laughing and cheering and getting match fit for his Melbourne Fringe show "It's All Good" next month.

I reckon @TomBallard is one of the best comedians in Aust. at the top of his game & has been for a while. He had me laughing so much tonight @locallaughs.bsky.social I had an asthma attack. Even new Material had the audience howling. His ability to work off the cuff is also awe inspiring. Fantastic.
