“No one really dies, they just drop their physical body, and we’ll all meet again, like the song says. It’s sad, but it’s not devastating if you think like that. It’s a continuum, and we’re all going to be fine at the end of the story.”

Bluesky is like what I imagine twitter was like when it started. Twitter is now like a cross between the future in the Terminator when it's run by robots and the Martian red light district in Total Recall.

OMG I loved this film soooo much! I saw it only a month or so ago. It's available on SBS, funny, exciting, romantic and set in Scotland! Also a very young Petula Clark!
I KNOW WHERE I’M GOING! is a Powell and Pressburger film I've long neglected watching. I loved its lack of sentimentality while still being sincere, and there's a great tension between moments of whimsy and aspects of social satire. Stunning cinematography and a bonus hilarious graphic match cut.

Aww this gave me a wave of nostalgia. My Scottish Nana always used to add a copy of People's Friend to the Xmas parcels she sent us. Yeah, I went to have a look a few weeks ago and was amazed at how much mainstream media is still there.

I'm sad that most of the comedy community haven't come over to Bluesky which does feel to me like Twitter was when it began. I keep hoping...but they seem to have left twitter and also left social media. It certainly made it really hard for me to help promote comedians' work in the past year.

I found a body in the Yarra once, I organised a boat trip party in costume and I noticed it & we called the cops who said they pull out 1 per month. He'd fallen in at a party further upstream 5 days earlier. At least his family found out what happened to him. I've never had the urge to swim.
