Would love to see them if you find them. I know what it's like hunting through negatives, prints & slides.

It's certainly not "terrible". Back then it was trickier to expose correctly to make the most of the light show. Now with digital you get instant feedback & can make adjustments on the hoof (and I still mess up 🤣).

Found this terrible photo of the man at the gig in Penzance, I think I was trying to capture the lightshow, that worked well 😂

I also think Leicester is a better resting place for him than York (not that my opinion counts for anything). On a recent visit to York the subject did crop up in conversation to which my reply was "maybe you could take ownership of *all* the Dukes of York?", which was received as I intended 😁

I also see that Wikipedia still uses my photo of the grave site (during public visits to the excavations), which someone picked up from Flickr. After 20 years of using Flickr, I recently closed my account, so I doubt that it'll be there for much longer.

I also queued up to visit the excavations as soon as I could, when they were open to the public, & queued again to walk by the coffin. Being a Leicestershire lad, I was raised on visits to the battlefield. I was paying tribute to the history & the science, not the monarch.

I've never tried it. It's something I really should get around to. Looks like strong stuff. I've had absinthe-flavoured vape, so I think I'll like it.

My headphone listening to the album proved most rewarding! I've just added Aire & Terra to my collection, so looking forward to listening to those.

Oh wow, the track following this one, "Absinthe", was just amazing. And I'm saying that without having drunk any... Think I'll have to go back to that one with headphones on.

I had been on Flickr for about 20 years but I'd not actively used it for several years so I recently removed my account & all the photos. The existing blog is fine for writing about thoughts & experiences, but I'd like a better way to display some photos.

Thank you Edward. All the musicians are taken live at gigs. I'm hopeless at "posing" people, with live music people just do what they do on stage & I snap away from the audience. I love the dramatic contrasty lighting in small venues too. Currently planning a new web site as a "portfolio".

Had two friends sat in the back seats, me & Swarb. All in my death trap Mk1 Ford Fiesta (two tone beige & bronze - classy!). Chatting about Fairport albums and Dave chain smoking his roll-ups, the dog-ends of which stayed in the ashtray until the car went for scrap 🤣
