Forget it, Jake (he/him)
Is this really a thing? I think most people are apathetic about by elections (which they don't have to vote in, of course)

Gwynne's seat the only plausible one imo. Unusual in having a threat from both Reform and Greens

Welcome this dipping of toes into the mockery of twlldun kitchen water on bluesky despite the much more limited degrees of separation from his follower base than on X

On the 12th day of #sketchpadvent it’s the 1971 Irvine New Town Plan, showing considerably more sunbathers and sports cars than was entirely realistic

The A road junction ones always seem to rate quite well, I assume because they need to be managed better with the multifaceted throughput of takeaway, eat in, drive through etc.

I keep coming back to that "when the government changes the whole policy climate changes because the government sets the agenda" and noting that in most areas they have just flatly refused to set the agenda

Yes, exactly. Even if you think mass housebuilding (v questionable) will relieve the problem it will take years, probably decades. Probably someone's entire childhood at minimum.

The BBC News website hosts literally hundreds of near-identical pieces of this sort, focusing on supposed local objections to clean energy projects around the country. Any data points that are presented invariably lack comparison or context, and no alternative viewpoint is ever sought.

In this instance, no data or survey is offered to measure said public sentiment. The piece rests wholly on the claims of a single man, Donald Moffat, who does not like the scheme.

Massie has gone absolutely puce with rage, it would be quite funny if he wasn't targeting a blameless woman

They really believed all their delusions were true (while not even having the same delusions)

This is a particularly funny example but "in 10 years everyone will agree Brexit is great" was a big shibboleth held by that lot. Also "the EU will sell out the Irish to get a good trade deal for German cars"
