It’s pretty obvious to me that private insurance doesn’t work for the average American. It only works for private insurance companies.

Socialism was conflated with communism all through the Cold War. Quite a lot of people never figured out there are some significant differences between the two. I’m blaming that for the “socialism bad” nonsense.
