Some are paid trolls. Some are just intellectually incurious lazy assholes justifying their own inaction. Some have been duped by industry propaganda.

This is why I believe we can't wait for emissions to come down to reduce warming. There are safe and affordable ways to limit warming, such as the idea of using mirrors near sensitive areas proposed by MEER.org

Fossil fuel producers are touting ideas like this one so they can protect their wealth. But now that the gov't is calling their bluff on carbon capture, the costs of using coal, oil, and gas w/ capture are prohibitive anyway. The market should prevent this scheme from being feasible.

We should not be leaving any tools in the toolbox to prevent the coming catastrophe.
