The sneeze reflex is a multisynaptic process with afferents from the trigeminal (& others) signaling integrative centers in the medulla that once above a threshold send signals to respiratory efferents. My guess is sleep active nuclei suppress the medullary neurons to inhibit the reflex.

Agree with bedtime Afrin for a few nights and adjusting temp, humidity, exp pressure as needed. Some find switching to full face mask more tolerable than nasal when sick. Not the end of the world if you need a few nights off. The key is falling asleep - you don’t sneeze in your sleep.

Ironically, the people who fixed up the malls here in Minnesota were the immigrants. The dying malls ended up being filled with minority-owned businesses that allowed them to live.

Or they did, before ICE came to town. Some would rather burn down the mall than let immigrants rebuild I guess.
