Roundup of the insane rhetoric coming from the right at the moment. It's remarkable how *little* violence we've seen from protesters, given the feds' aggression. Maybe I've missed something, but the worst I've seen is people throwing snowballs. The MN weather has injured more cops than protesters.

This. 👆Having a gun makes you less safe. All the safety factor is in the training, which includes learning to de-escalate first in hostile situations. If you are not able to commit to constant training then it is not a good option, and for most it is not a good idea.

A lot of chatter today in various places that ICE seems to be targeting or menacing schools, driving by in confirmed ICE vehicles, lingering nearby, and forcing parent observers to respond and show up. They likely know that today is the Friday before a three-day-weekend so it's their last chance.

If you need something to do to help Minnesota, call your Member of Congress and tell them to DEFUND ICE NOW.
If we have to shut down the government to do it, that’s the price we have to pay. If this continues Trump will starve the poor anyway while other cities face military occupation.

Here is the full story, they’re stopped two special ed busses in Saint Paul and now the school district is taking two days off so that teachers can prepare virtual options for the indefinite future. Special ed kids cannot go to school safely without being hassled by armed and masked federal goons.
