I love looking at carburetors. They’re simple, but complex. A fella I know got a new snowblower. He missed the old one, but he couldn’t get it running. With a bit of work, I got it running again. The carburetor was clogged and corroded.

Any variable web font experts have time to help me out? I’m trying to animate a letter’s weight in a mono width variable font, but the kerning gets janky. Not the font I’m using – respecting our license – but have the same issue.

I’ve been banging my head for days trying to animate the weight axis of individual characters in a monowidth font without turning off kerning. It works fine with whole words.

It's not visually displayed, but it gets announced as a caption for the video player element. It says something like… “Embedded video player. [your alt text]”.

I took another lettering class over the weekend, and it motivated me to practice the basics. I keep reminding myself that it's okay to enjoy something and not be great at it. I’m also coming around to working digitally in Procreate.

“Dark mode is better for your eyes.” That might be true for some, but not everyone. This is what I see after reading light text on a dark background. It goes away after a few minutes.
