Halifax, N.S. resident but a Sault Ste. Marian, ON at ❤️ Skate Canada judge, skating instructor, wife, mom plus a million other things all rolled into one. Oh & I have a day job, too 🤦‍♀️
I’m actually in Canada & have a really good drug plan, that’s the sad part!! I think we pay 8-13% of the cost of our meds; depending on what they are. So I can only imagine what they actually cost 😳

Well, yesterday’s migraine was not a horrible one so they did work better than my old meds. But, I’m now also on an at home injectable as a preventative, 3 different types of oral preventatives & the migraine Botox, plus this 1 so I’m hoping that the combo of all of these together will do the trick

Thank you!!

Awwww, that’s too bad. Where did you find the LF ricotta? I have a hard time finding that & that’s one of my favourites

Saaaammmmeeee!!! I have to be really careful with how much LF stuff I have as well

Thank you!!

Ooooohhh! Thanks for that info!! I’m definitely going to try that. I’m always on the lookout for new lactose-free recipes

I bruise super easy normally anyway but this one sure is a doozy!! Thankfully I have enough coaches for the lessons that I didn’t have to spend a ton of time of time today demonstrating the “falling down & getting back up” exercises 😂

We finally had our 1st day of Learn to Skate lessons today (last wk was cancelled cause the Stadium lost power) and we had lessons at the Oval yesterday. But, I fell down some stairs Tues & this is what my knee still looks like today so I’m hurting tonight, too!! 😣

Did you just use lactose-free cream & cheese? It looks amazing 🤤
January 19, 2026 at 1:30 AM
Looks amazing!! And I feel your pain but except for GF I need to make mine lactose free!

Me!! No decorations on it but the pre-lit tree is still up. I love the light in the early morning & at night. I’m not sure when it’ll come down & am in no rush to be honest

My neurologist is Dr Belbraoeut sent from my family dr. I go for Botox every 3 mths. It took a lot of going back & forth with my insurance. I had to try tons of different meds before they agreed to the Botox & still get 6 mths evaluations from them that I have to complete

As a chronic migraine sufferer, I get Botox (scalp & neck) from my neurologist. I give myself preventative maintenance injection Emgality plus Topiramade & Lyrica. Yet, I still get breakthrough migraines due to barometric pressure swings. I take Eletriptan for that. Let me know if you need more info

Now that thought makes me more tired than working 7 days a week 😂😂
January 11, 2026 at 10:08 PM
Honestly though I love both my weekday job & coaching so I can’t imagine not doing either. I keep saying I’m going to slow down one of these days but then I remember how much I missed them when off when I had the double mastectomy & I’m just thankful to be able to be back working again

Mostly on caffeine, sarcasm & swear words 😂 I don’t work traditional hours. I work 6am-330pm some days but 6am-noon other days. Then Saturdays it’s 730-2pm & Sundays is 1-530. It’s only Jan-Mar. Then I’ll get a bit of a break on weekends until Spring lessons start again!

I was just telling my husband yesterday how much I was craving Arby’s!! Unfortunately I’m now working 7 days a week so it’ll be a while before I’ll be able to make an Arby’s run 😭

Ham & scalloped potatoes tonight. But tomorrow we always have Chinese from our friends restaurant! It’s our NY Day tradition
