Republicans: don’t necessarily think that just because your party was anti-slavery in the 1860s that you yourselves wouldn’t be anti slavery back then. Remember: those same democrats in the 1860s used the Bible to support their bigotry, and the same is still being done today.

You are so strong, so much stronger than I could ever be, especially when it comes to your resilience. I am reminded of the humble ironweed when I think of the trans community. Strong, hard to cut or kill (due to its fibrous stem), but its petals remain delicate and vibrant and gorgeous.
