I don’t speak on this very often, but I urge you to call. If this goes through, it won’t just be federal funding that stops for gender affirming care. It’s federal money now, but insurance companies follow what they’re allowed to do and if they’re allowed to drop us, they will.

The stopgap measure being voted on today to try to avoid govt shutdown includes a provision that could strip ALL federal funding from any institution/facility providing access to any form of gender-affirming care, for anyone of any age. Call.

I need to underline that this isn’t just about the trans healthcare out of these facilities. If they offer it and they take ANY federal funding, even if not for trans healthcare, they are on the line to be shut down if they don’t stop. Even if you’re not trans, this may affect your doctor’s office.
