It’s not a Mississippi thing. It’s all on Bluesky. Mississippi doesn’t even have age restrictions in place - it’s been tied up in the courts for over a year. Bluesky just up and kicked the whole state off one afternoon in August without warning.

The Kick Six is what made me fall in love with CFB. Barely paid attention beforehand. I’d lived in Mississippi 9 years and was culturally aware but that was it.

The Ayers settlement in 2002 was a desegregation measure for all of Mississippi’s public post-secondary schools that lowered admissions standards.
It expired in 2022 and it only applied to in-state students, but we’re a haven for uber-rich out-of-state students because we just don’t say no.
