Shinkansen es la red ferroviaria de alta velocidad de Japón, más conocida aquí como tren bala.

Esta red difundió el concepto de "tren de alta velocidad" al mundo y es pionera a nivel internacional en cuanto a velocidad, capacidad de transporte y seguridad.
