This is a simple one, and hardly enough to battle the deluge of ignorance, cruelty & anger, but it's something I do: When you get overwhelmed, do an act of kindness. Help someone in your neighborhood, volunteer in the community, visit an animal in a shelter or email back a fan. On busy days, donate.
