Hubble captures the sharpest view of the Antennae galaxies, two merging spirals. Bright blue starbursts emerge, while old stellar cores are shrouded in dust. This galactic collision offers a preview of what will happen when the Milky Way and Andromeda collide in billions of years.

these webb/hubble images are truly incredible. the fact that we can see the universe in different wavelengths of light and spot so many unseen details is mind-blowing 🌌

Arp 321.
a compact group of five galaxies located in the constellation Hydra. It's a fascinating object for astronomers because these galaxies are in close proximity and interacting with each other.

The supernova remnant DEM L 190 billows like a cosmic flame, its golden core fading into cooler blue filaments. Located 160,000 light-years away in the Large Magellanic Cloud, this celestial marvel is the aftermath of a massive star’s death.

Released from Hubble a few days ago - the image shows a giant among galaxies LEDA 1313424 or, the Bullseye.

A smaller blue dwarf galaxy went through the centre leaving 9 star filled rings.

This is the N44 nebula in the LMC, located 160,000 light years away. A *lot* of massive stars are born inside this nebula!

It is also one of my favourite images that I processed 😊

Who’s ready to party?

This is a close-knit collection of five galaxies, called the Hickson Compact Group 40, as seen by Hubble.

There are three spiral galaxies, an elliptical galaxy, and a lenticular (lens-like) galaxy.
