So, I understand that a lot of people don’t like the #StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds episode “What is Starfleet?” I get it, but that’s because it wasn’t meant for you. It was meant for me and people like me. Content like that means everything to us, because so few creators even try to get it right:

A few months back, one of the best #StarTrek armorers around decided to step back and I had the privelege of purchasing his incredible set of #Klingon armor. I can tell you, his work is the best of the best. This was the final fitting before #STLV 2025 today. You feel POWERFUL wearing this:

At the Met yesterday. It’s easy to forget that these beautiful and intricate gusoku (Japanese armor) are actual military uniforms meant to be worn by officers on duty. This 300 year old armor has an INKSTONE and BRUSH on the wrist in the exact same place as the pen pockets on a modern set of OCPs:

The reason you don’t see social media in #StarTrek is that after it was a major cause of World War III in the mid 21st Century, humanity collectively decided to get rid of it. Instead go outside, attend a performance at your favorite bar, grab a great meal at a local restaurant, play with your pets:

Thank you so much! This pretty much confirms what we thought. Yesterday, we got the tsuka off the sword and realized the characters on the tag are just a transcription (a bad one) of the engraving.

PLEASE HELP from folks who can read handwritten #Japanese kanji from early 20th Cent. At a roadblock on a research project and I need this translated to move forward. Text is faded, hand-written, and quite old. I know what I *think* it says, but there is disagreement. This is an enhanced image:

Energy is only useful when it is applied strategically. Going in fifty different directions while spinning yourself into knots about every attack is pointless, and in fact, is playing right into your opponent’s hands. This maxim from the war sage is 2500 years old but still just as applicable today:

Cadets often ask why Klingons maintain a “dueling tradition” when modern weapons are available. UFP historians tend to forget that due to the Hur’q invasions during Earth’s 14th Century, Klingons skipped firearms. For them, blades and particle weapons have always co-existed:

Yup, though I don’t think Tigranian would appreciate being called a hipster (though some who know him probably do) and Alex didn’t mingle with the bears when she was flirting with Chinese-Risian DJs in the Castro during Med School. Excerpt from S3, EP5 of “#StarTrek: New Horizons.”

It’s no secret I think Edward Jellico gets the short end of the stick in #TNG, but a man who decorates his Ready Room with all his kids’ artwork definitely has his priorities straight:

I was very fortunate to be able to tell Jess and Babs in personal how much the episode meant to me last year at #STLV. Yes, I understand the irony that it was “Klingon Day.”
