Switch 2 pre-ordered! Ended up doing base with MKW separate because I’m stupid, and also grabbed the Pro Controller and Tulin amiibo for that same reason. And I was first up, which was neat. Good times.

Staking out GS with a friend, even the smallest store in my area is getting 9 base and 23 bundle units, so it’s looking like this is gonna be easy, especially given that we were the first here. 2 hours remain!

Look, I hate to say it, but I actually really enjoyed the Minecraft movie, it was stupid and goofy, but I just vibed with it. It reminded me of the movies I would watch as a kid in the 2000s, even the dumbest stuff (Jennifer Coolidge subplot my beloved) kinda won me over. 7/10.

Amazon productions have a history of looking like Best Buy demo footage despite their budgets and licences. This franchise simply cannot be churned out like that,its whole appeal comes from watching a cool man go to a tangible cool place and do cool stuff there. I can’t have another Die Another Day.

So, on the subject of Sonic 3. As a fan? Fantastic time. They finally listened to our pleas for actual game music, lots of little rewards for being a knowledgeable long term fan. As a movie....it's alright. I feel it's not as good as 2, for sure. It has big tone problems, and is a bit too short.

I swear half of my brain space for the last several days has been exclusively dedicated to the Barbie movie. I think marketing it as a pure comedy was honestly a great move, because it blindsided me when that Billie Eilish song started and I fell apart immediately.
