the worst trend in female character design for anthropomorphic characters in media has to be the absolute refusal to give women snouts.

I know it's not news to anyone that racist doctors did heinous shit to black ppl "for science", but I feel like it's vastly underestimated/not spelled enough the sheer extent of how much medical science is built upon the suffering of racially marginalized, at least in the medical circles themselves.

Did you know that entire fields of cytology, molecular biology, microbiology, endocrinology, etc would basically literally just not exist the way they are today if not for the doctors and scientists unethically experimenting and harvesting samples from black people, most of all black women?
