I think about this a lot when pedestrian and bike paths are routed in poorly lit isolated tunnels under roadways. In my town what of the biggest N-S bike routes has a tunnel that none of my female biking friends will use alone after dark.

Yeah my family was run out of Scotland in 1747 and now we have towns, counties and geological features named after descendants of those exiles.

He likely had lots of training but some people just take to it better. Recently saw someone shoot a handgun for the first time and after three shots she was all 2” from center with iron sites… if he had the skills and the practice 200 yards is within the accurate range of the gun used.

If you have never changed a tire ask your local bike shop to walk you through it. There are some subtle tricks that make it a lot easier. And it’s always best to try it at home first. I mean I didn’t but you could.

To change a tire you need to get the wheel off, get the tire off and back on and reinflate the new tube. Other than forgetting to bring a tube getting the tire on and off has been the biggest pain for me and these things make it… well less of a pain.

Because almost all good rims are “tubeless ready” because that’s how the cool kids roll. But I am not cool so I carry a spare tube, mini pump and a hex key to get my axle off. And these tire levers:

I have long thought so. I think maybe we were a little fooled because Obama came across as eminently likable. Sure the hard right hated him but he has a natural charm that most people feel. But you should not have to be charming to be president. You should be the best leader with the best ideas.
