I’m a big Rob Thomson defender. I think he’s a hell of a manager. He’s made a few calls this series that have backfired, but I think those are relatively minor, highlighted by a lineup and bullpen that just hasn’t performed.

That said, this Nola decision could cost him his job if it backfires.

I find it inexcusable that Turner-Schwarber-Harper have a collective $680 million in contracts and have done nothing in this series for the Phillies. There's time to redeem it. But it is very bad to this point.
