Using this website as a journal of silly ideas, because I guess a notes app wasn't giving me enough dopamine
Touch screens are great for things like smart phones, which allow super flexible user interfaces and customization. THEY MAKE NO SENSE FOR SOMETHING THAT IS LITERALLY JUST AN UNMOVING ALWAYS DOING THE SAME THING BUTTON

Awesome, I will definitely check that out!

Cleric can throw a disc to a player who just made a bad shot. If they catch it, they get a mulligan with your disc. Idk what other abilities might be haha

Each course could have certain obstacles. This hole is a dragon. Each throw from within range of its fire breath (in the putting circle) gives you a damage. If you are in sight of the guard (clear line of sight to the tee?), throw with disadvantage. Classes could have unique abilities...

You could have encounter tables, but instead of using dice to randomize them, they are designed to work off of you asking your kids a question. Instead of rolling skill checks, ask them how hard is it. Etc

I'd love to be able to pull up the app, click on the map, and see that a fox has definitely been traveling through the neighborhoods

But all the color is in grayscale except the colors of your disc. Would be an easy filter to slap on, only complication is lighting conditions affect the color. Looking for your disc would be so much easier if it was the only thing in color.

Why wobble instead of rotating? If it rotated the center would never change and the outer shadows would move way too fast. I think this may be my best idea yet ☺️

They would use a concentric great system to wobble them back and forth to create moiré patterns to mimic the shifting of foliage in nature. Why use a moiré pattern? Because they change a lot from slight movement, making the system quiet and energy efficient.
