My first week of law school, one of my professors (accurately) described the legal profession as a “writing profession,” so count me amongst the few who will absolutely not be outsourcing the few skills I have to some fucking cloud-based bullshit that a person who writes in 1s and 0s put together.

Like I don’t know how to describe to people that these LLMs aren’t good drafters. Not even on substance, but on form. They write like robots. It’s not good authorship. It’s actively bad authorship. And people can tell!

I get that if you’re working at a lowest common denominator level, AI writing is good, but if you’re at a senior management level in an email/writing job, please know everybody is aware that’s not your work and it looks both lazy and incompetent.
