Before it, I used a Supercard DSTWO that had a hairline crack in it, and it's results were sporadic at best. I then learned it was sapping the battery life of my device because it's basically a tiny little computer inside a flash cart.

I read that the writing wasn't great, but as far as Marvel quip hell goes, it's relatively inoffensive. It's kinda like God of War's dialogue but with less charm and more of your companion getting yelled or berated a lot.

Maybe I'm more tolerant of critically panned games with huge ambition and potential made by small teams that want their game to succeed.

I bought No Man's Sky on Day 1, full price. I loved exploring the world and dodging the bugs and glitches. I finished the story before any expansion dropped.

Even Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge had larger dev teams. And that's not including the hundreds of QA staff involved with testing the games across the series. It's just crazy to assume so much from a team so little.

I'm not sure I like how the camera zooms way out the faster you go, like a fisheye lens. Hopefully a static close/far camera is added post-release.
Not sure if anything else made the jump from Burnout, like traffic checking, crashbreakers, revenge takedowns..

Probably gonna wait to see reviews.

I like how condensed the world is, dressed with visually stunning and grim areas, with always something to do or a destination to seek out. It doesn't feel like going from A to B either, because you'll always find something on your way, like a camp of thieves, or a lead for another quest close by.

The real technology advance isn't AI, or digital currency. It's toilets.
