I’m redesigning the Quitly app icon. Which one do you like best? I’m trying to make it simpler but still engaging. The first one is currently used.

Localizing apps can be really exhausting. Do you have any tips or tricks for producing localized screenshots and metadata for your apps?

So far, I’ve been using Figma and manually translating and inserting all the different titles for each language.

Lock screen widgets are finally coming to Quitly!

I’ve heard mixed opinions about whether it’s beneficial to see something you’re trying to quit, but as I realized, for many people it can be motivating to see their progress they’re proud of. What do you think?

Any native German speakers here? I’d love to hear a feedback on the German App Store screenshot texts.

I used GPT for the translation, but I’m not sure if it sounds natural enough.
What do you think? (I also attached the English version for reference and context.)

Trying out different paywall designs. Which one works better for film/analog feel? Any suggestions what to improve?

Thank you! Do you find the one on the right easier to read than the orange one? The orange feels more connected to the film/classic analog style, so I tried a compromise. What do you think of the third option?

Thanks Chris! Yeah, the orange feels more analogish and connected to the film/classing feeling, but the readability seems better with white.

So I tried a compromise using orange just for the title. What do you think?

Playing around with matchedGeometryEffect and custom transitions for Quitly. What do you think? Would you improve something?

In iOS 26 widgets (clear mode), images seem to fill entirely, making them hard to tell apart.

Does someone know how to make them more visible/transparent in SwiftUI? Any tips you’re using in your apps?

A swipe gesture with interactive buttons, made in SwiftUI using a horizontal ScrollView and ScrollViewReader.

1 Month Sugar-Free Complete!

A whole month without sugar and sweets! So far, sticking to my New Year’s resolution has been a success!

Anyone else hitting some milestones this year?

Do you prefer building custom components, or do you rely more on the native UI elements provided by iOS?

Exploring various animations using the Swift Charts API for Quitly.

How do you handle empty charts with no data?
Do you prefer labels to inform users, or sample data as a layout preview?

How much time do you spend optimizing your app's UI for iPads?

I recently added iPad support to Quitly, and now I’m deciding what platform to focus on next.

Apple Watch or Mac. What would you go for?

Collapsing header animation in one of my apps made with SwiftUI.

Header is animated using GeometryReader, allowing it to shrink as you scroll. Both the header and ScrollView are embedded in a ZStack, aligned to the top.

What do you think?

Do you use onboarding screens?

I believe onboarding should be quick and straight to the point, providing a chance to make a great first impression on the user.

Simple onboarding with subtle animations using SwiftUI.

Do you use "What's New" screens in your apps after updates?

Do you find them valuable for users, or do you think they are disturbing and intrusive?

What are your thoughts?

Which one would you go for: Left or Right?

Can’t decide between a rough transition and a gradient fade out.
