Incredible new euphemism for kidnapping just dropped in The Guardian: apparently Maduro was 'spirited' out of Caracas.
The resolution introduced by the Democratic senator Tim Kaine requires Trump to seek permission before attacking or otherwise using the military against Venezuela. Following the Saturday raid that saw US special forces assault the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, and spirit Maduro to New York to face trial on charges related to “narco-terrorism”, the president said he did not tell lawmakers beforehand because “Congress has a tendency to leak”.

A very real article from The Mirror by Wurrance Telephene Politics Jo Swinson blasted by animal rights charities after "harrowing" footage found on private facebook The Liberal Democrat leader can clearly be seen loading a slingshot with pebbles and firing them at squirrels in her garden. 02 Nov 2019 A spokesman for the RSPA described Swinson's behaviour as "sickening and cruel" and demanded an apology: "I've never seen anyone so alive with twisted pleasure at the thought of harming another living creature. The glee is palpable." In the recording, which was taken in 2011 and has so far received almost 3000 views, Swinson can be heard to refer to the squirrels as "pleb bunnies" and boasts about her aim: "I'm a crack shot. I don't go for the head because that's too clean a death."

Plated dish
Two slices of porchetta, you can see the layers of herbs as the belly has been rolled. It's sitting in a pool of gravy I made from the juices left in the sous vide bag. There are are some roast potatoes on the plate too.

Porchetta for dinner. Shop bought but took a fair bit of work to get this crackling so nice. 16hrs @ 69C in the water bath. Chill in fridge. Dehydrate in the air fryer for 2 hrs. Crisp for 25 minutes in air fryer turning every 5 minutes to develop the crackling on the sides.

Two very large rib eye steaks on a wooden chopping board. They are a deep brown colour except for the large fat cap is dark yellow with flecks of caramelisaton. A plate with slices of the steak, the meat is medium rare, edge to edge. There are mushrooms and chips on the side.

Made tori paitan last night. Very happy with the broth, best one I've made. Slightly overcured the egg but it was still good. Tried a new brand of noodles, which I found too thick. Would suit mazeman or tsukemen better.
A bowl of chicken paitan ramen, the broth is off white because of the soy sauce. There are three thin slices of chashu nestled against the right hand side of the bowl. You can see the ajitama poking out of broth, the outside of the egg is a quite brown from the cure. There are also toppings of wood ear mushrooms and spring onions. The half finished bowl of ramen. I'm holding half the egg between some chopsticks,. you can see the yolk is dark and jammy looking from the cure.

For as city with such a large Indian population, it's quite hard to get Indian food in Dublin. Was out in Sandyford and there's this great Southern Indian place called Southern Spices. Fantastic meal here. Chicken 65; chilli paneer; mutton meatballs; potato dosa.
Chicken 65, the chicken has been very lightly battered and deep fried to a dark brown colour. There is a green dipping sauce in a metal ramkin next to it. Chilli paneer, in a thick red sauce with red peppers and onions An absolutely massive dosa, folded into a triangle. You can see some fermented coconut sauce that's white and a dal as well The mutton meatballs, they've been breadcrumbed and deep fried. There's a green sauce on the side

Ragu alla Bolognese. I have been meaning to try that 'official' recipe for years. Only 2tbs of tomato concentrate and made with milk. Only sub I had to do was use guanciale because I'd no pancetta. This absolutely slapped.
A bowl of tagliatelle, the sauce is a light orangey brown and there is loads of Parmesan sprinkled on top.

Just ate the best cannolli I've ever had in a pub in Fairview of all places. Lol. Pub is The Strand House btw.
