This seems like a good event. I only decided to try AI coding because of @steipete.me‘s posts here. Not ready to give Claude code terminal access and rather contain bots to a browser sandbox, but I know @orta.io‘s former colleagues are using it to eliminate huge amounts of tech debt.
Ended up talking with our event space host for Claude Code Anonymous and I've raised our event space limit, accepted everyone on the guest list, and there's 10 more spaces opened

I think @steipete.me's blog is great, but I cannot submit posts to it to lobste.rs because they banned his blog for "startup slop" whatever that means.

Switched React Native -> React, Redwood -> In-House, Jest -> Vitest, animations to Motion, Design System -> Base UI, Node upgrades, Vite upgrades, made Monorepos

I've been putting in a lot of hours into working on and with LLM-based coding assistant tooling, and can say that for me, this has vastly increased my productivity, while code quality and maintainability have at least stayed the same.

I was summoned so I shall spam my blog.

My general approach and view of LLM-assisted coding is here:

Just telling them "Do my jerb" does definitely not work if you care for functioning, maintainable software. But they sure can help with tedious bits
Taming agentic engineering - Prompts are code, .json/.md files are state
Treating LLMs as shitty general purpose computers we program with natural language. Because throwing shit at the wall wasn't working anymore.
