I first tried giving Pillars of Eternity 1 a shot back in January. The story had me hooked but omg my brain just doesn't compute with "real time w/ pause" gameplay.
I got so overwhelmed I had to put the game down.

Now, the open beta for Turn Based Mode is finally out and I've been having a blast!~

I got digital art fatigue after Art Fight in July & went on a pencil-sketching spree til I finally came back to digitally drawing again in mid-late September.
I personally enjoy the roughness of my pencil scribbles, w/ some minor digital touch-ups + color~

-then just use my legit level-ups to buy new skills since those are level-gated anyway. I think that paces things out while cutting most of the tedium away so I can mainly enjoy the quests and the setting~
I also have UAP's QoL patches toggled too, such as a more traditional XP system + bug patches.

I'll admit: I do not play this game "fairly." My personal life is also just too busy to bother with "legitimately" leveling up. I play w/ the Unofficial Arcanum Patch's menu and just max my stats from the start by adding skill points-

ty! And samesies! Lineart is so exhausting that I don’t really do it anymore. I feel like it never looks as good as my sketches. Nowadays, my “lineart” is kinda like traditional pencil sketching where I lightly sketch, then use more bolder strokes on the same layer, then erase til it’s clean enough~

i think i'm alright at drawing men's faces, but any fitted garments or whatever is an anatomical nightmare to draw 😭 i can never get anything to look right...

Yup! In-game, it's Azram's Star, a weapon you can acquire in Arcanum's throwing mastery quest. It is very much an homage to the Glaive from Krull lol~
