I wrote a long thing about travel--why one does it, what the benefits are or are not, etc. No definitive answers, but I'm embarking on another such voyage soon. Perhaps I'll figure it out this time.

The People You Meet: A No-Fly Journey Across the Ocean
What was I thinking? What was I thinking? This refrain began circulating in my brain like a tenacious earworm in September 2023, on the eve…

Actually, you're right. Upon digging deeper, I see that I can't read everything either. Still, I will take advantage and read what I can.
That's weird. I just gave them my email and I'm suddenly allowed to read anything. I think.
I think if you give them your email (ie subscribe without paying), all the articles are free?
It's perplexing, for sure.

Last October 7th, I wrote about an imaginary antisemitism alert warning that wouldn’t stop buzzing. As we mark two years since the Hamas terror attacks, it sadly continues with relentless, open antisemitism manifesting in ways I never thought possible in Canada.

This should be obvious but somehow is not.
Not Eddie. Eddie pics are anti-inflammatory.
Yes, it's a thing, but I suspect my wrinkles have as much to do with age as sun. 🙂
I've found that doctors bemoan "sun damage" a lot. I call it ageing lol.
According to most skin doctors (and at least one nurse practitioner), I think, yes.
Lol, I told my nurse practitioner that I taper off using it in the fall and don't use it at all in deepest winter, and she shook her head in shocked disapproval. But I mean, it's Canada. We can't even make Vitamin D from sunlight in the winter.

Political violence is bad. It usually begets more political violence.

Celebrating political violence is bad. It usually encourages more political violence, against various targets.

Campus shootings are bad. They make everyone on campus less safe.

It's bad that what I wrote here is controversial.
