Great Slate article by @chrisbaker1337.bsky.social of former Wired fame on what we can expect next from Hollywood now that superhero franchises are apparently box office poison. Check it out.

: "Are Video Game Adaptations the New Superhero Movie? Studios are betting big on TV shows and films based on popular postapocalyptic games." Seriously, there's Fallout, Borderlands, H:ZD, Stray, Twisted Metal, The Last of Us season 2... bit.ly/3Q5avBZ

PSA: the CDC has a program that pays for your COVID vaccine if your insurer won't. The guy at CVS told me that my insurer had not added the new vaccine to its formulary yet, so I'd need to pay $190. I told him about this program, showed him the website, and paid nothing. 🤗

This thread is horrifying, and not the first time I've been enraged by Sheryl's stories from eviction court. Important reading. 👇

PLEASE COMMENT ON THIS. I am literally begging you. Everyone should have access to vaccines. Today is the last day to tell the FDA not to limit covid vaccine availability to only people over 75 or immunocompromised. bsky.app/profile/jenn...
Deadline for public comment ends tomorrow. Please tell the CDC that we need vaccine access for everyone, not just a small sliver of the population.

The pandemic is not over, and public health requirements don't magically disappear simply because it would be politically more expedient.
Tell the CDC all ages need updated vaccine access
The CDC is accepting public comment on the updated COVID boosters through Friday, September 8
