Our school has a writing contest, and I feel like this needs to be shared today. For those of us grieving the pain of moving on in life, let this be comfort. ❤️
It is strange how one might assume grief is noisy, like a burst of waves, in reality, it's quiet. An ache that never seems to end. But this grief helped me realize that not everything needs to be fixed. Not everything can be fixed. And maybe some things break because they have to; perhaps because we outgrow them or they outgrow us, or life just tosses us around and we can't hold on anymore. But none of that means it wasn't beautiful while it lasted. It was beautiful.

There's this joke that I think applies.
God will save me reddit post. A big storm approaches. The weatherman urges everyone to get out of town. The priest says, "I won't worry, God will save me". The morning of the storm, the police go through the neighborhood with a sound truck telling everyone to evacuate. The priest says "I won't worry, God will save me". The storm drains back up and there is an inch of water standing in the street. A fire truck comes by to pick up the priest. He tells them "Don't worry, God will save me." The water rises another foot. A National Guard truck comes by to rescue the priest. He tells them "Don't worry, God will save me." The water rises some more. The priest is forced up to his roof. A boat comes by to rescue the priest. He tells them "Don't worry, God will save me." The water rises higher. The priest is forced up to the very top of his roof. A helicopter comes to rescue the priest. He shouts up at them "Don't worry, God will save me." The water rises above his house, and the priest drowns. When he gets up to heaven he says to God "I've been your faithful servant ever since I was born! Why didn't you save me?" God replies "First I sent you a fire truck, then the national guard, then a boat, and then a helicopter. What more do you want from me!!??"

I was sent this by a former student. I am the Stephanie referred to in the comment. 😭 I've been struggling, and this is some reassurance that someone (or two) somewhere value me.

I was telling my friend that I think my soul needs to be on the East Coast, and I'll probably spend the rest of my life in MA, but I could see myself in Maine for a bit. She had a That's So Raven moment where she insisted that I will marry a bearded boatsman on his boat. 🤣

I am into tarot and oracle cards, and I decided to see what 2025 has in store for me. As I was shuffling, I thought, I bet it's love, and a card flew out of the deck.
