Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

Something I have been waiting for is *finally* coming together. Let 2026 be full of opportunities and moving forward after blockage. ❤️🤞

Have the confidence of a mediocre white man. One just told me he might apply for an open position even though he has no experience with or knowledge on the main responsibilities, but he could do some research and be okay. 🙄 I shall be applying because I am more competent than that bs!

CRYING at how ChatGPT has interpreted the prompt for one of my finals. It was super low stakes, write about your feelings for 30min, don’t stop writing. But SOMEHOW I have MANY students whose roommates were SECRETLY WARLOCK CULT LEADERS & every one ends with, “I promise this really happened” ☠️

There are two basic reactions people have to ChatGPT

1) OMG I USE HIM FOR EVERYTHING AND WE’RE GETTING MARRIED

2) I preferred Google when it used to work.

You know which one you are. Every human being on the planet already knows.

Women who uphold the patriarchy and constantly demean feminism should not be online spouting their opinions on their own social media platforms.

You shouldn’t have an opinion or a platform. Let your husband do that for you…

Went outside and did a ritual I saw about release and calling something in. My coworker saw me, and she joined me. No questions. No judgment. It is my favorite thing from today.

Today is my mom’s birthday. Sending appreciation for her existence because without her, there is no me. However, she is awful, and I am grateful that I no longer speak to her.

My English dept is moving to blue book essays written in class only. I am LOVING the switch. I have been able to have one on one conversations with students and check in on their writing and see them take my feedback and rely on their skills, not AI or tech.

I think we are in terrible times and have been, but I think that things are rapidly shifting into even more terrible times. Genuinely scared for the near future.

The past three walks I've been on (all this week), I've seen the brightest red of cardinals that have fled the scene as soon as I've seen them. Super weird. Feels like a thing. Idk what that thing is, though.

This! Making permanent haves and have nots. Think Hunger Games.
Turning every former Confederacy state and a few more midwestern ones to a permanent underclass and source of labor.

When I explain to people that I think our public school days are limited, this is what I mean. Loss of funding mixed with shortages will lead to more teachers burning out and fleeing the profession. This is working as intended, and this was the long game.
"We don’t make enough money to put up with this."

Last year, US K-12 schools opened short 55,000 teachers. Between book bans and political attacks on schools and educators, it's looking like this year's shortages will be even more dire, especially in red states.
