So like, with the 2008 housing crash, you could (incorrectly) view it as too many regular people getting stuck in bad mortgages. With this, though, it’s pretty obvious a handful of wealthy idiots are responsible.

People will say “You can’t judge people in the past by today’s standards,” and I think that’s bullshit. If something was wrong, the fact that the wider culture accepted it doesn’t make it right. Plus, if they’re already dead, who cares how I judge them now?
