You’ve probably seen this before but it is always worth reposting. Please always check in with friends. People’s struggles are not always evident. And be kind to yourself too. youtu.be/tX8TgVR33KM?...

Why Jasmin Paris should be #SPOTY24

She completed Barkley Marathons with 99 seconds to spare

- 33 Parkruns distance
- in a forest
- mostly off trail
- partially in dark
- no GPS watch
- ascended 2x height of Everest
- only 19 male runners have completed it in 29 years

It would be far better if they moved out of that absurd, archaic building which is costing upward of a billion to make even vaguely suitable for a parliament, let it become a wonderful museum and built a new parliament, perhaps in the Midlands

Teaching vicarious liability this week. I can be critical of Scottish courts, but VL is one area where they have been exemplary. As @campbellmat1.bsky.social & BWML said in their recent article 'Few are the Scottish applications of the close connection test which surprise.' Which is a good thing.

Appreciate this may not be a universally popular opinion but the less you treat BlueSky as a crusade or cause, and the more you position it as simply a superior user experience with a better governance approach, the more sustainable the growth will be.

It’s certainly starting to feel more vibrant over here! I got fed-up with all the weird bots and nasty content. It’ll take a while to fine-tune my feed but it’s so much better than X.

It literally takes months, and many people, to get something simple updated on an internal school webpage, but seconds for me to post on here! Is it just me?

I reckon the purpose of modern defamation law is more about, in reality, that the victim is unable to form economic relationships with others.

Defamation klaxon! New article just published. It's Open Access. Written by Dr Lindsay and me. We read tons of cases. It was glorious. So much fun to work on. The subject matter of the cases was neither fun or glorious.
