They said on-line isn’t real life, and Bluesky is a niche social media site.

But here is @akalhan.bsky.social getting “Kavanaugh Stops” into the Boston Globe!

With a pic of Kav looking a little petulant too (but then when doesn’t he?).

Glad to see this is sticking to him.
Critics of Trump’s immigration crackdown are using the term ‘Kavanaugh stop.’ Here’s what it means. - The Boston Globe
The phrase, is "a window into where [the administration] can go next," some advocates say.

Good to include this info - but what a grammatically weird way to do so.
Canada’s Tariff Burden

Mr. Trump has imposed a general 35 percent tariff on Canadian exports based on his claim, which is refuted by data, that Canada is a significant source of migrants and fentanyl for the United States

This seems incredibly unfair.

I know you currently live in Massachusetts - but do you think of yourself as *from* there?

While this is indeed an interesting development, be careful about handing it to her.

👀 Marjorie Taylor Greene breaks with Republicans on Obamacare funding, saying she’s not a fan of the law but demands action to prevent a premium hike. “I’m absolutely disgusted that health insurance premiums will DOUBLE if the tax credits expire this year.” She says GOP leaders don’t have a plan.

Maybe the bit about free parking was meant to make him seem relatable.

But he just comes across as an even bigger jackwad.

The Hopkins House museum will focus on “the experiences of freedom seekers on the Underground Railroad, through the Civil War, the Battle of Gettysburg, and Reconstruction, to the fight for civil rights in the 20th century and beyond.”

Both are part of an exhibit called "Foundations of the Dream" - specifically in the section "Education and Educators"

From Harpers Ferry:

"By the roiling rapids of converging rivers, President Donald Trump’s campaign to have the government tell a happier story of American history confronts its toughest challenge. There is no positive spin to be put on slavery."

It's a great story, only slightly marred by the headline's use of "revisionism" - which is not synonymous with "sanitization" or "falsification."

Enjoyed this episode and I second @jamellebouie.net's recommendation at the end of Andy Horowitz's Katrina: A History, 1915-2015
Bouie: Sure. We’re well past the Hurricane Katrina anniversary, but in anticipation of it, I read a book that had been on my list for a long time, which is, “Katrina: A History, 1915-2015,” by Andy Horowitz. It’s just a wonderful history, not simply of New Orleans, but of Louisiana and the Gulf Coast.
