I have developed a visceral rejection for nostalgia in general.
It feels like a lot of people are just yearning to feel what they used to feel when watching their favourite movies and shows 30 years ago without realizing that part of what made them so good is that they were new and different.

Same reason why I don't really get all the random 2016 nostalgia.
Like I explicitly remember that being the Worst Year Ever.
Also I think moreso people like the Idea and Aesthetic of the 80s more than the time period itself.
Much like the 50s except 50s nostalgia actually IS Co-opted into bigotry
