If you think you're good to stop taking the anti-inflammatories, just assume you are wrong.

I feel this particular lesson from horseback riding applies to life over 40 in general.

I got top score in a mounted archery competition this past weekend. @chantalr.bsky.social also did amazing getting 34 points at the trot, and the president of our Mounted Archery Club, Rebecca, managed to get on the board at a canter which was super impressive.

Mounted archery clinic was such an amazing experience. Was also my first competition! Can't wait to do it again. Gonna be so hard to return to real life tomorrow.

My new fave thing is doing barn chores in the rain.

I am sure my opinion of this will remain constant as the weather gets colder.

Related note: I am in the market for winter boots that are suitable for barn work.

The students aren't stupid. And all the "welcome back" bs is pretty insulting. Welcome back to what? Orientation to what? The university is nothing without classes, and you can't have classes when you've locked out the faculty.
