If I put on a mask and do this, it's a felony but if I take $50K to become an ICE thug it's suddenly OK?

Rationalization is a hell of a drug, but doesn't make what happened the right choice. Y'all folded the winning hand and got nothing in return except a promise from a party led by a Mad King who never keeps his promises.

They got a promise from the party lead by a man who has never kept a promise to anyone in his life. Not to his spouses, not to his creditors, not to his business partners. These Democrats got played so they can look like "reasonable people", but have just given away any hope of progress.

Agree 100%, but the Trump WH ain't the sharpest knives in the drawer. They just go for the thing that looks like it will appease the Mad King and he's no deep thinker these days.

Travel industry is heavily unionized so assume they figure it hurts Dem constituency. Many impacted airports are in blue states/cities dependent on travel so again figure it hurts core Dem groups to pressure Schumer and Jefferies to cave. Don't see it working. Trump will TACO in the end.

It's going to be a case of "look what you made me do". They will target the biggest airports are in the biggest, bluest cities and states and focus the shutdowns there. Florida and Texas will get a pass while O'Hare, JFK, Newark, LAX, SFO, etc are going to get hammered with restrictions.
