Not sure which is a more frightening possibility - a President who lies so brazenly or a President who is so completely disconnected from reality.

Once upon a time, if a president head lied this brazenly, it would be considered a disgrace by both political parties

Trump: Portland is burning to the ground—insurrectionists all over the place. The politicians are afraid for their lives. That’s the only reason they say there’s nothing happening.

Good summary, sending this via (secure) email to all flag officers could spared the expense of an in person meeting

Hello? Media?
The news story isn't that an escalator stopped working at the UN.
The news is Trump gave a batshit insane, lie-filled, egocentric, incoherent speech there in front of the world's leaders.

Now is the time to stand up for those noble ideals.

Be loud — for America.

In a sane world, Fox host Brian Kilmeade would be fired and shunned for his depraved comments that homeless people should be euthanized. That’s sick (and deeply ignorant), but sicker still is that it’s tolerated.

The right sets the terms of our political discourse in so many ways, one of which is the idea that there isn't enough "debate" and "free speech" on campus.

We need to push back on this. The truth is (speaking for myself as a history prof), I don't really emphasize debate much in my classes/

Just about right. No excuse for political violence of the gun sort, but also no excuse for the political violence of the verbal sort that Charlie Kirk practiced

I have always been a big fan of political cartoons for their ability to capture and clarify complex issues
