So I bought an Ebay spectrum as play with the port machine. It was advertised as 48k but was an issue 2 16k when i opened it. Added the logic chips, jumper and RAM. Diagram walk test failed. Tested everything and eventually belled out a short from the factory. Cocktail stick cleared it and now works

When you're tinkering with 2 Pi's and transferring data via pseudo parallel comms. Next step connect it to a speccy to program it from the Pi
