Imagine a world where @klobuchar.senate.gov lays out her grievances. Might even get her elected governor.

Here are the five words that will make you Governor:

"The State of Minnesota objects."

Say this each and every time GOP Leader Thune or any GOP senator ask for unanimous consent for anything/everything until the federal government goons leave your state.

Nothing is going to change until someone stands firm and punctures the swaggering impunity that permeates everything they do. Somebody has to punch the bullies in the nose.

It's all about protecting and reinforcing swaggering impunity. It's the foundational Trump brand going back to 2016. 'I'm your id with F-You money that can say and do anything the F- I want. Ride/vote with me and you can to.'

But Josh, it's not healthcare or kitchen table related, so this won't be Schumer or Jeffries approved.

...adding, ridding our streets of masked stormtroopers should've been the demand at the last funding vote.

VP is meeting with the real boss right now.

FF has huge ongoing revenue streams to mitigate financing needs. Green energy at every scale from farm to rooftop and at every supply chain point need new financing. Plus, startups in a growth sector lead to IPO's, M&A's and all manner of insider Wall Street grifting.

If it makes the cover.

Relatedly, this recent Post article was also eye opening. Seven tech stocks account for nearly 1/3 of the S&P market cap and their bubble is masking stagnation in the other 493 stocks. The S&P 500 is no longer a diversified investment vehicle. wapo.st/4rlFfjg

😂😂😂 So you're saying those positions are problematic to defend. It's kind of a problem if your biggest litmus test issues are things that candidates can't campaign on.
November 12, 2025 at 5:01 AM
These are positions that they're going to advocate for and have to defend, so kind of does make it part of a platform. It's not like they can communicate their position on them and keep it secret all at the same time.

Not saying give up and don't try, but IMO this is not a likely remedy within the next decade plus and other, shorter term, achievable objectives should also be identified.
November 11, 2025 at 11:58 PM
A notionally laudable list but problematic as an electoral platform and outright fantasy as anything close to a half-dozen year or more time horizon project. You get one crack at them every six years & statewide primaries are expensive & hard. You'll be lucky to effect this in a generation. 1/

Why is Chris Murphy on Fox News?
November 7, 2025 at 6:51 PM
Because if it mattered they'd be obligated to do something, which they are congenitally allergic to.

Bare minimum can No Kings help Dems locate these...

...adding, better to fix or abolish the one-sided, GOP agenda friendly reconciliation rules.
October 22, 2025 at 7:18 PM
Written as the Dems are currently using the filibuster as their only tool to exert any influence or constraint on runaway GOP madness is ... madness.
October 22, 2025 at 7:12 PM
This is exactly right. Every 'can you imagine if' is an indictment of the feckless Democratic political industrial complex. The media isn't going to report outrage if there isn't any outrage to report.
October 22, 2025 at 6:00 AM
Because that would require cajones and effort, so... 🤷
