It’s fun to watch people try to challenge the wiretap knowledge of the longtime police reporter who (checks notes) created The Wire.

It is mildly disappointing when you take a moment to abuse some meme-slinging wunderkind with belt-fired facts and instead of either doubling down into more moronity or crumbling into babbling what-I-meant-to-say apologia they simply run the fuck away.

Levi Holmes of the internet was no fun at all.

Dear Moron Who Has Girded His Partisan Stupidity With Random Wikipedia Drivel: A pen register or DNR (dialed number recorder) is not a wiretap. It is in fact a preliminary investigative and legal step to a TItle III wiretap in that it records only numbers called. But this WASN'T EVEN THAT....

I should also add: I'm really enjoying the iPhone Air. Battery life is more than fine. Gets me through a day with plenty to spare. Camera's great too.

iOS 26 call screening has been incredible for me. Saves me from multiple spam calls a day. And when someone legit needs to get through, the virtual "answering service" does its job well.

Not to mention I haven't gotten a single NYC mayoral race text message since updating.
