Former Republican who disavowed and left the GOP 15 years ago when it moved too far right, abandoned any principles, and became irredeemably stupid.

Actually, come to think of it, I came here from Twitter for pretty much the same reasons.
If anyone has ever had to take a cognitive test, it's not something you would ever BRAG about "acing." It's literally checking for baseline functionality.

Him crowing about it is like holding a press conference to announce that he remembered to pull his pants up after doing boom-boom this morning.

Mullin: "What the president is doing is always calculated."

Trump, calculating:

So, things would be all fine if, say, Trump were out in International Waters, maybe on a luxury yacht or something? "Oh well," you'd say. "Everything's perfectly fine if you do it in International Waters!"

Mullin might want to keep that in mind next time HE is out in international waters/airspace.

Not that there ever WAS any living with Trump before, but, well, you know what I mean.
November 30, 2025 at 2:57 PM
Ugh; regardless of WHY more money was spent, you KNOW Trump'll be crowing about this for weeks.
November 30, 2025 at 2:56 PM
I feel like most of what we are working with today is feeding a MANUFACTURED appetite rather than any actual one.
November 29, 2025 at 8:37 PM
If we still actually had governance, you'd have a good point.
November 29, 2025 at 7:06 PM
I meant more in the sense that a batter vaccinated population is less likely to spread the disease in the first place, and I do not trust the random people around me to be a "better vaccinated population" anymore, sadly.

"It's not political, it's existential." *chef's kiss*

Much the same energy as this meme:

Agreed; I thought as well initially, but then… oh well.

As an immunocompromised individual, I haven't been out in public without a mask for five years now, because while I and all my friends are up on their vaccines, I can in no way trust any of the random people I'm around to be the same anymore.
November 29, 2025 at 4:13 PM
Yep, wearing masks in public if you have a cold or the like had been pretty common in many Asian countries for years already. I remember for ages, pre-Covid, thinking how it'd be nice if that same practice was common here in the US, but I never anticipated it would take a global pandemic to do so.
November 29, 2025 at 1:59 PM
Yeah, I said "much less likely" to hedge my bets because the moment you state a 100% guaranteed opinion about something, somebody always seems to complain and bring up some obscure edge case.
November 29, 2025 at 1:55 PM
Honestly, at the rate this fascist regime is spiralling down, yeah, they probably would, if the ICE guy was in a particularly assholish mood (worse than their baseline level of assholery, that is).
November 28, 2025 at 10:40 PM
I'm sure Trump actually typed "undermine domestic nobility" but autocorrect caught it.

"Remove anyone who is not a net asset to the United States"

Boy, can I think of a LOT of people right off the top of my head who truly deserve that expulsion, and Trump wouldn't agree to ANY one of them.
November 28, 2025 at 7:56 PM
Agree 100%. I don't mind so much if people quote-posts something with their own take on it, or add additional context, etc.

But I follow folks because I want to see what THEY have to say, not what OTHER people have to say.
November 28, 2025 at 7:45 PM
I'd follow SO many more accounts here if @bsky.app implemented the ability to turn off reposts on a per-account basis, similar to how Twitter did.

If you quote-repost with additional thoughts, fine. But I really don't need to see the exact same thing on my feed a dozen times by a dozen people.
November 28, 2025 at 7:40 PM
These people see everything and everyone as nothing more than expendable tools to get what they want. Once their cheap veneer of Christianity has run its course and is no longer useful, it'll be discarded just like the rest.
November 28, 2025 at 5:01 AM
No, I agree a lot of people are STILL masking, but I meant if this was supposed to have taken been back in 2005, I would imagine the masks are much less likely to have been seen. But that said, yeah, Ai is getting way more tricky, and way fewer people are even gonna bother a second glance, sadly.
November 27, 2025 at 10:14 PM
Well, this just took me right back.

Horrible Thing Poking Device?

If you need to be as far away from the Horrible Thing as possible, they already market those; they're called "guns."
November 27, 2025 at 3:00 PM
Yah, I was gonna say, we're going to need more context about pictures going forward to help recognize AI. I assumed this was supposed to be from some 'lost episode' of Doctor Who from before the modern series started, but all the crew being in masks seems to instead suggest this was Covid.
November 27, 2025 at 12:50 PM
Thanks to its corrupt majority, the current SCOTUS is an integral part of this fascist regime, so your nihilism is well-placed.
