Usually a media org could be banned for a limited period or not included in the press pool but legal action is nonsense because non-authoritarian governments should want to promote the idea of a free press. Trump is just being a child with a tantrum as usual, there are bigger issues to focus on.

Trump threatens to take legal action against a lot of people and organisations but I believe he does it to intimidate in order to make himself look better or the strong man. When I worked in a government Press Office there are ways of handling this situation and ways not to handle it.
